Somewhere in the Dolomites there’s a mechanic named Mario, hand-washing helmets outside a wooden hotel, while inside four of world's best riders are quietly getting ready for nine of the hardest days in women's cycling. We spent 24 hours embedded there — UAE Team ADQ’s altitude camp, three weeks before the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Not the race. The part before it, the part nobody broadcasts. Host Danni Shrosbree speaks with riders who have just come off the course from all the distances. Recorded live in Girona featuring pro American gravel racers Skyler Taylor and Maude Farrell on their first experience of this iconic European gravel race, alongside Kyle Madden of Away Message, Luca Montoya of Unknown Route, and Steve Willis from London’s Benchmark store, who completed the 560 km distance.
Some raced the Traka. Some endured it. Not all of them finished.
